Block Design: Improv Circles

Name Link to block tutorial
I would like you to create a circle or implied circle of any type as long as it reads sort of circular when you are finished.  Improv is encouraged!

Color selection
Please use low volume fabric(s) for the background.  The "circle" should be a single bright color of your choice, but you can include as many fabrics as you would like. For instance, if you choose to make a blue circle, you can use as many blue fabrics as you would like, as long as they are all blue.  Please avoid large amounts of brown, black or grey.  (Small amounts in a print are ok)

Please name some designers or line of fabrics you like that will help us pick the right fabric for your block
Any modern fabric or color wall fabrics would work for this block.  Try to avoid prints with a large number of competing colors.  Most Carolyn Friedlander, Alison Glass, and Cotton and Steel Basics fit into this category, but I hope you will use what you have in your scrap bin and stash.

Will you be providing fabric?
No

Directions:
Create a block of your choice that has a circle-like motif.  Try to make your blocks finish at 10" or larger.  Hint:  If you are using curves, bigger is easier!  Improv blocks are ideal, but you can also use a traditional block.  Try to not use a commercial pattern- I am planning to make this for a group quilt show entry, and I don't want to have to track down permission from numerous sources.  Your "circle" can have curves or be constructed with all straight seams.  Choose a bright, dominant color for the main circle and low volume prints for the background.  I created a Pinterest board with various types of circle blocks, but I hope you will do what inspires you most!
