One Month Goal Challenge

We are going to switch it up this year and do a One Month Goal Challenge (OMG).
Each monthly meeting you will be signing up 1-5 projects to get finished by the next months meeting. You will then need to bring that finished project(s) to the next meeting to show and get put in the OMG raffle. For each finished project you bring to the meeting you will get one raffle ticket. So the more you finished the better your chance is to win that months OMG raffle! You will need to bring the finished project to the meeting so plan accordingly.

Picture Inspiration Challenge

Michelle Wilkie wrote a blog post called “Same But Different” about how a group of quilters used one picture as their inspiration.  It was interesting how varied and unique all of the quilts turned out.  You can read her blog here:  https://community.themodernquiltguild.com/resources/same-different

This is the picture we will be using for the challenge.  Use this photo as inspiration to create a completed piece (quilt, mini quilt, pillow, tote bag, etc.).  The reveal will take place at our March meeting.  We will vote for our favorites and give out some prizes.  We’ll also take a moment for everyone to give a brief explanation of what elements in the picture inspired their piece.
