Leigh posed the question: Are you a fabric hoarder or do you buy per project? The majority
were fabric hoarders (imagine that) and 2 only purchased fabric by project.
The fabric swap this month was Tula Pink fabric. Several people participated and several
beautiful fabrics were exchanged.
Annual dues of $10 are now due for 2023. This cash payment can be paid at meetings.
At the January meeting, a piece of the color of the year fabric, Crush was handed out to those
who want to participate. The challenge is to use the Crush color in any type project. Only
completed projects will receive a ticket to be used in a drawing for a prize. These projects are
due at the March 23 meeting. Additional information about the other challenges is listed on
the blog.
We will also have a block raffle at the March 23 meeting. The pattern is called Scattered Petals
and the pattern is on the blog. It is requested to use modern, bright colors.
Heather demonstrated a project called bag charms. This is a non sewn project. Each member
was provided with a piece of vinyl fabric and several rivets. We had to cut out the pattern,
insert holes for the rivets and clamp the rivets. Cute project – Thanks Heather for all your prep
work and materials provided!
Show and Tell: 5 people had show and tell projects. Several people shared their string quilts.
