November Meeting Notes

 Meeting November 21, 2024 6:00 PM Whetstone Library

18 members attended, 2 new visitors

We all introduced ourselves. 

We showed our crayons for the crayon challenge project. Each member at the meeting was asked to choose 2 crayons from a bag. These two colors should be used in a quilted project. Other colors may be added to the project. 15 members participated – many different projects, ranging fromquilts, zipper pouches, tote bags, wristlets. Pictures on FB.

Quilt project for 2024 This project consisted of a monochromatic quilted project. Solids or prints can be used, but should be of the same color family. 10 members participated in this challenge. Pictures on FB.

Gift exchange – we had a fun gift exchange. Always a fun time! Pictures on FB.

We brought food and drinks to share. We played the saran ball game (always a winner).

Show and Tell - several members shared their projects – pictures available on FB.

We also want to thank Leigh for all she does for the group. We appreciate you Leigh and all the other members who step in to help. You make our guild a fun group!

December meet up at Dewey’s – several members met up in December for pizza and friendship at Dewey’s pizza in Worthington. The group typically meets up for a late dinner after the monthly meeting.

My Very Own Blanket – volunteer opportunity - Some of the usual gang plus new volunteer Cindy Hetrick and My Very Own Blanket founder Jessica Rudolph met up in December. A good time was had by all, and a very productive time too, 96 blankets finished! There is always room for a few more people if you would like to join us!
