March Block Raffle: "Favorite Things" Economy Blocks

This month we're doing a simple favorite: Economy Blocks!

We'll follow this tutorial from Homemade Emily Jane. (there is a video tutorial if that's more your thing)

Follow the instructions for an 8" block:

For an 8″ finished block you would cut your center square to 4.5″, and (2) 3.75" squares, and (2) 5" squares.

For the theme: The center square should represent something YOU LOVE.

Could be a favorite color, animal, place, hobby, character, food...anything that represents YOU! You can fussy cut to feature something special from your fabric. Then the outside fabrics can be anything that coordinates with your choice for the center.

When it's all put together, we'll have a quilt that represents the heartbeat of all of our group members!

Some examples:

Blocks are due at the MARCH meeting: Thursday 3/26/26.
As always, make as many as you'd like! (but they should all feature different fabrics- as the point of this quilt is to highlight our favorite things). The more you make, the more chances you have to win!
